Kijik,
How can you hate mesmers? They get no press but they are one of the most over powered classes.

Then I must really suck at PVP. Oh wait, I posted somewhere that I did.
I'm drinking milk though and someday be strong like hulk.
And Kijik you should try a mesmer. The best way to learn counters for a profession is, just as you said to play one for a little bit.

leprekan we have had our disagreements in the past, but I agree with your sarcasm there. Funny thing is.. soon as Ele's get any press, they get nerfed to death.. making them the most underpowered, unless they play flashbot.. flashbots win v.v.. I have a very powerful build with my ele that can smoke a single target in seconds but the problem is, if I post it, everyone will start using it, and it'll get nerfed, and if I use it, then people are gonna find out the build anyway...Nerfpie.. v.v
Oh and Red, I know problem is, I like want to delete my mezzie, because he's taking up my PvP slot >.>..lol

My mesmer is for PVE though. I sometimes PVP with him just to find that I'm not prepared and get overwhelmed with what I should have done while I'm eating the dirt.
I actually PVP with all things, a E/Rt using Water Magic and Beastie attacks! It's crazy I know.

Sorry, if we had a disagreement it didn't leave a lasting impression here.
Food for thought ... what does Anet throw in to kill or hamper farming? MESMERS.
Best advice to you is level that mes and play it for a week you will have a different viewpoint on the class. Any half ass mes can drop a war faster than an ele and I am a warrior lover first.

lol my sin drops wars faster than messies too, but yeah I should play as a mesmer seeing as mesmers will never get nerfed, and besides maybe I can counter a mesmer with a mesmer? Anyone know if you can do that?

Mesmer > All.
Mesmer counters all.
But I just wish they'd freaking nerf Ether Feast... it's SUCH a great heal! /sarcasm.
on a serious note, SF is gonna get smacked by the nerfbat.

lol yeah one thing mesmers can't do, is heal themselves..thank god.. and yeah I know that SF is gonna get smacked, I'll bet anything on it, I just wish that they would buff like all of the fire skills in replacement of nerf raping SF..

Yeah, I once tried those with Me/A using Deadly Paradox, Shadow of Haste and Feigned Neutrality. He was a hit and run degen dude.
I still died and only managed to make a person mad at me.
I think I need to speed up me brain muscles some.

Have you guys actually tried Searing Flames in PvP yet? It's nothing sepcial for two reasons.
1. It requires you to cast it once before the damage actually applies, and you would probably only get 2-3 shots off before the burning expires
2. No one in PvP is stupid enough to stand close together

from those statements, I am certain that ye have not tried it. and SF isn't terribly powerful alone.. it's Glowing Gaze and Liquid Flame paired with it that pwn.. and it's still gonna get nerfed.. it's being used too much.

I'm trying a warrior/necromancer now. I need to cap Warrior's Endurance though. Needs lots of energy he does, yes.

Most important thing for pvp is not what or how well your build works. It is how well it works with the other 5 builds. Your best bet is to find 5 friends willing to ha with you and get everyone on teamspeak or vent. Do it for a week and you will see a HUGE improvement in your game play.

Just a guess, but 'Dark Escape' may get nerfed. It could be changed too 'This stance end if you cast a spell, or land a succesfull attack'

yeah considering a caster class can effectively use that as damage mitigation and still be able to pump out damage... I think that Feigned Neutrality is most likely to get hit by a nerf tho..

SF is ofcorse getting nerfed aswell as Rampage as one.
Also i have a bet going that blinding surge will be 10 energy now so mesmers cant spam blind constantly on melee
Feigned Neutrality is on the choping block aswell as spiritual pain for none elites
I also have bets on Stoneflesh Aura getting nerfed, its just way too much armor for it not to.
Also i see dark DARK times for dervishes in the future
